When I first heard about girls-only snowboard camps, I didn’t get it. There’s a lot of marketing spiel about relaxed environments, encouragement, coffee and champagne. But what makes it specific to women? I did a little research and it turns out that there are some pretty solid reasons for ladies specific training camps.

I've always snowboarded in mixed groups (almost always skewed towards males) so the thought of just riding with girls has never really crossed my mind. I wasn't even sure it was an appealing prospect, but I believe in the 'don't knock it till you try it' philosophy so I looked into it all a little bit further.
