The Demon Hyper Universal Wax and Citrus Base Cleaner is part of Demon’s tuning kits, but the cleaner itself holds up on its own. It’s a citrus-based formula that’s gentle on your base and way less harsh than chemical solvents, but still does a solid job cutting through old wax.
The bottle’s on the smaller side and you can’t always buy it separately, but it’s a nice option if you’re already grabbing a kit. Like most Demon products, it’s made in the USA and clearly built with riders in mind. Nothing fancy, just a straightforward cleaner that works.

It’s not as well-known as Purl, but it strips wax clean and lasts a long time. No spray top though, so you’ll need a rag and a bit of effort. Solid pick if you want something strong but low-fume.
Technically it’s sold as a “ski” base cleaner, but don’t let that throw you – it works just as well on snowboards.
