I’m not here to hand you a Pinterest list. This is the gear I keep in my pack, in my pockets, or buried in my truck all winter. Stuff that’s been soaked, frozen, dropped off chairlifts, slammed into trees and still earns its place.
If you want the best snowboard accessories, that actually make riding easier, warmer or less of a pain in the ass, these are the ones worth having.
🏆 Quick Pick
My favorite snowboard accessory for 2026 is the Gravity Grabber Wall Mount. It looks great, works well and turned my disordered gear pile into a dope looking boot room. Highly recommend.
Top 3 Roundup
Best Snowboard Accessories
1. Gravity Grabber Snowboard Rack Best Overall Accessory
- Universal wall mount for snowboards (and skis)
- Holds gear securely while saving space
- Adjustable and protective grip system
- Clean, minimalist design fits any room
- Great reviews (4.8/5)
I put the Gravity Grabber first this year because it actually solves a real problem. Before this thing, my boards were always drifting around the garage, sliding into each other or just sitting in a sad pile. Mount it once and you’re done. The board snaps in, stays put and suddenly your gear doesn’t look like a yard sale.
If you hoard boards like the rest of us, you can line a few of these up and build a proper wall rack. It doesn’t “display” or show-off your boards quite like some of the other snowboard wall mounts, but it’s far more functional. It’s simple, tough and it works.
2. Demon Complete Tuning and Waxing Kit Best Tuning Kit
- All in one tuning setup for snowboards
- Comes with iron, file, edge tool, scraper, pads and brushes
- Dual voltage wax iron with a simple temp dial
- Universal Demon all temp wax - made in the USA
- Hard case keeps all your tuning gear in one place
- On a tighter budget? The Basic Kit covers the essentials
Every snowboarder needs their board tuned, but loads of people ride around with dull edges and slow bases because they don’t have the kit for it. This setup sorts that out. The Demon Complete Kit gives you everything in one place. Iron, wax, brushes, files, all packed into a case you can stash in the garage or throw in the car. It keeps your board fast without dropping money at a shop every few weeks.
If you don’t need the full spread, the Complete Basic Kit still covers the essentials and gets the job done. Either way, having your own tuning setup makes riding smoother and a lot more satisfying.
3. Hertel HotSauce Snowboard Wax Best Snowboard Wax
- RIDE LONGER, WAX LESS: Get up to three full days on the slopes with only an ounce of Hertel Wax Super HotSauce All Temperature Ski and Snowboard Wax. It delivers smooth rides across snowboards and skis, making it a convenient addition to any snowboard wax kit or hot wax routine.
- ULTIMATE CONTROL FOR SAFER RIDES: Hertel All Temperature Ski and Snowboard Wax prioritize control, helping reduce rider fatigue and improve stability on the slopes. Designed for snowboards and skis, it delivers consistent performance across all snow and weather conditions more safer.
- POWER THROUGH ANY SNOW: Hertel ski wax delivers a smooth glide and control by interacting with the snow’s structure, perfect for skiers and snowboarders. Adapt to changing conditions with consistent performance across a wide temperature range (6°F to 52°F).
- ADAPTABLE WAX FOR HEALTHIER RIDES: Hertel Wax Super HotSauce offers top-tier performance without harmful additives, letting you ride with confidence, knowing your wax prioritizes sustainability and health without compromising performance.
- A LEGACY OF INNOVATION AND AUTHENTICITY: Since 1972, Hertel has led the way in ski and snowboard wax innovation. From inventing the first All Temperature Wax to earning Olympic golds, Hertel delivers trusted, authentic performance backed by decades of expertise and commitment to excellence.
Every snowboarder needs wax. No way around it. Hertel HotSauce has been my go-to for ages because it just works in whatever snow you throw at it. I’ve used it on bulletproof mornings in mid-winter and on sloppy spring laps, and my board always stayed quick. It’s cheap, it’s simple and you don’t have to be a tuning nerd to use it right. If you want an easy upgrade for your kit without buying a full tuning setup, this is the one to keep in your bag.
4. GoPro Hero13 Black Action Camera Best Action Camera
- HB-Series Lenses With Auto Detection: HERO13 Black is compatible with the HB-Series Lenses that let you instantly set up your camera for a variety of specialty shots. The Ultra Wide Lens Mod is the ultimate POV lens for action-packed scenes and epic landscapes. The Macro Lens Mod captures close-up shots in stunning detail. Neutral Density Filters add motion blur to your footage and let you adjust the lighting in your shots with professional results. Try the Anamorphic Lens Mod for pro-level cinematic shots. HERO13 Black even detects when a lens or filter is attached and automatically adjusts its settings accordingly.
- Best-in-Class 5.3K Video: 5.3K video delivers breathtaking image quality with 91% more resolution than 4K and an incredible 665% more than 1080p. HERO13 Black captures the action with crisp detail and exacting image quality so any shot with any lens will look amazing. 5.3K video also lets you grab stunning photos up to 24.7MP from your footage using the GoPro Quik app.
- Burst Slo-Mo: HERO13 Black features our slowest slo-mo ever with the ability to record video clips with the action slowed down to 13x normal speed. You’ll also be able to record short 4x slo-mo clips using our highest 5.3K resolution video to catch epic details that you’d never be able to see with the naked eye.
- Rugged + Waterproof to 33ft (10m): HERO13 Black was built to take a beating. It’s ready to capture the fun on any adventure whether you’re tearing through mud, snow or water (down to 33ft/10m). A water-repelling lens cover even helps eliminate lens flare and other artifacts to help keep your photos and videos crystal clear.
- What's Included: HERO13 Black Camera in Polar White, Enduro Battery, Curved Adhesive Mount, Mounting Buckle + Thumb Screw, USB-C Cable
The GoPro HERO13 slides straight into the best snowboard accessories list every year without even trying. Riders love reliving their lines, the close calls and the stupid moments with friends. Nothing captures it better than a GoPro. Trust me. I tried a whole bunch of other brands and sadly nothing comes close.
The 13 shoots sharp 5K footage, the stabilization is unreal and it holds up in cold weather way better than a phone. I’ve had mine on my helmet, chest and even taped to a ski pole and the footage still comes out smooth. It’s not cheap, but if you actually use it, it pays for itself every season.
5. Dakine Torque Driver Best Pocket Tool
- 6 piece ratchet driver
- #2 and #3 phillips bits
- #3 pozidrive bit
- 3/32 in. hex bit
- 1/4 in. flat head bit
The Dakine Torque Driver is one of those tiny things you never think about until you really need it. Bindings come loose, ladders back out, toe straps shift. Having a proper tool in your pocket saves the day. This one has the right bits, a solid ratchet and enough leverage to fix most problems on the hill without faffing around.
It’s small, tough and lives in my jacket all season. If you’re building out your kit or looking for the best snowboard tools to carry on the mountain, this one earns its spot every single day.
6. Demon Flexforce Impact Shorts Best Impact Protection
- A gift every park rider (or tailbone) will thank you for
- Protection where snowboarders actually need it
- Comfortable enough to wear all day under pants
- Padding flexes while you ride, stiffens when you slam
- One of those unglamorous gifts that ends up being a favorite
If you ride park or just hit the ground a little more often than you’d like, these padded shorts make a massive difference. I used to think impact shorts were overkill until I drilled my tailbone one too many times (and not in a good way). Now they’re part of my normal kit.
The Demon Flexforce shorts slide under snowboard pants without feeling bulky, the D3O padding moves naturally and when you do take a hit, they actually take the sting out of it. Not flashy, just straight up useful if you’re tired of limping away from bad landings.
7. OutdoorMaster Drop-in Headphones Best Audio Upgrade
- Drop in to most audio ready snowboard helmets
- Bluetooth connection with built in mic for calls
- All day battery life for normal resort riding
- Big buttons you can use with gloves on
- You can listen to music without blocking outside noise
Use code CHASERS20 for 20% off
If you ride with music, these drop in headphones are the easiest upgrade you can make. They slide into most audio ready helmets, pair fast and the battery lasts a full day. The big buttons are usable with gloves or mittens on. I’ve tested them with Giro, Smith and Anon helmets – worked great (though slightly more flush in Smith and OutdoorMaster).
The charging case is a nice touch, and the overall quality has improved drastically since the original wired headphones I first tested.
This season they’ve been the best ski helmet headphones I’ve tried, beating the stuff from Smith and those older Outdoor Tech chips everyone used to run. Reliable, cheap and way cleaner than messing around with earbuds.
8. Flexmeter Snowboard Wrist Guards Best Wrist Protection
- One of the best snowboard accessories - protect your wrists!
- Built by doctors and trauma specialists
- Scientifically proven to reduce fractures
- Allows movement without impairing protection
Wrist injuries take out thousands of riders every season. They catch an edge, stick a hand out and end up with a busted wrist. Flexmeter wrist guards are therefore one of the best snowboarding accessories for beginners.
The flexible splint design lets your wrist move the way it should while stopping the kind of bend that snaps bones higher up the arm. They’re comfortable under gloves and a lifesaver (or wrist-saver) if you’re still figuring out your balance. I still wear mine after more than 2 decades on snow. I broke my wrist twice before I bought them. Zero times since. Anecdotal I know, but that’s enough evidence for me.
9. Rebalance Core 32 Balance Board Best Training Tool
- MADE FOR BIG TRICKS >> The Core 32 Balance board was designed to give you maximum freedom to pull off tricks like ollies, shuvits, kickflips and more. No tracks, no grooves, no gimmicks.
- ROCK SOLID CONSTRUCTION >> Not just any deck, the Core 32 is built to take a hit and handle anything you can throw at it. This includes the high strength composite roller and board built like a tank. A lightweight, high speed, tank. MADE IN THE USA.
- BOOST YOUR SKILLS >> The Core 32 is not only a blast to use, it improves your overall balance and body control as you use it. This translates to real improvements with your riding in other sports, including heel/toe balance for edging.
- PRACTICE YEAR ROUND >> Can’t make it to the park...or the mountain...or bad weather? No problem - the Core 32 can hold you over. And then some.
- ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?
The Core 32 balance board is a solid way to keep your legs from going to sleep in the off season. It has that same edge to edge feel you get on snow. I keep mine in the living room and hop on it when I’m bored. It’s nothing fancy, it just works. Good for stability, good for leg strength and good for staying connected to your riding when there’s no snow around. Easily one of the best accessories for snowboarders this year.
It’s worth noting – this is a relatively advanced balance board with a narrower deck and no “stop” pegs underneath. There are more beginner friendly snowboard balance boards if you’re just starting out.
10. Smith I/O MAG Best Goggle Upgrade
- The best snowboard accessory for people with eyes
- ChromaPop lenses give better contrast in flat light
- Magnetic lens system makes swaps quick with gloves on
- Comes with two lenses so you can cover bright days and storms
- Also available in XL fit (my preference)
The Smith I/O Mags are the goggles I end up riding in most seasons. They seal well, they don’t fog and the ChromaPop lenses actually help on flat light days. The lens swap is quick too, which you don’t really appreciate until the weather flips on you mid run.
I’ve gone through a lot of goggles and these are the ones I keep coming back to. The regular I/O Mag fits most riders, and the XL works better if you want a wider view (or have a big head like me). Both come with two lenses and a soft bag.
If you’re also looking at stuff that works as a present, they show up on my snowboard gifts list for a reason.
11. Burton Men's Weekend Socks Best Daily Essentials
- Durable Winter Socks: From targeted cushioning to extra arch support, our 2-pack of Men’s Weekend Midweight Socks bring warmth and foot-hugging comfort to every winter adventure; the over-the-calf fit offers extended coverage, while the reinforced toe and heel provide exceptional durability for activities like snowboarding and skiing; ride with confidence knowing all Burton outerwear is backed by a Lifetime Warranty
- Extra Support: Added elasticity and padding in the arch and ankle enhance stability; medium-density cushioning strikes the perfect balance between wearability and performance
- Elevated Comfort: Chafe-free link toe seams eliminate scratchy edges to reduce friction and irritation, delivering a smooth, cushioned feel against the skin; a low-profile welted cuff sits close to the leg, making it ideal for layering under boots or pants
- Ride With Purpose: We’re proud to be recognized as a Fair Labor Accredited company for our commitment to health and safety, a livable wage, and ethical labor practices; plus, as a certified B Corporation, we follow the highest chemical standards in the textile industry, partnering with bluesign to reduce our environmental impact
- Who We Are: Since our founding in 1977, we've played a pivotal role in growing snowboarding from a backyard hobby to a world-class sport; today, we continue to design industry-leading products that combine top-tier sustainability with social impact to build a more equitable and inclusive outdoor community
Snowboard socks don’t sound exciting, but they’re one accessory you really feel when they’re wrong. Burton’s Weekend Socks are warm, they stay put and they’ve held up for me through plenty of long seasons. I’ve got pairs that are still going years later, and they’re always the first ones I grab from the drawer. Nothing fancy, just a solid little accessory that makes your day on the hill a lot better.
If you’re looking for “the best of the best”, there are some slightly more premium (but more expensive) options in my best snowboard socks lineup.
12. Jack Black Intense Therapy Best Lip Protection
- Enriched with superior skin conditioners and antioxidants, this emollient balm soothes and relieves dry, chapped, irritated lips
- UVA and UVB absorbers- Avobenzone(Parsol 1789) and Octinoxate - screen harmful UV rays
- Shea butter and avocado oil soften and condition lips
- Vitamin E and green tea extract, antioxidants which help protect lips from damage caused by UV-induced free radicals
- Penetrates quickly to provide instant relief Offers broad-spectrum sun protection with an SPF of 25; Also guards against windburn and temperature extremes
Cold wind absolutely destroys your lips, so having a decent balm in your pocket is a small accessory that makes a big difference. The Jack Black Intense Therapy balm is the one I keep going back to. It lasts, it doesn’t feel greasy and the SPF is solid on bright days. Cheap, small and genuinely useful. You should also pickup a sunscreen.
13. The Art of Shralpinism Best Snowboard Book
- Jones, Jeremy (Author)
- English (Publication Language)
- 288 Pages - 10/18/2022 (Publication Date) - Mountaineers Books (Publisher)
The Art of Shralpinism isn’t really an accessory, but it earns a spot because it hits a different part of snowboarding that gear never will. Jeremy Jones lays out years of experience in a way that’s easy to read and weirdly motivating. It’s part stories, part hard lessons and part reminder of why we chase snow in the first place.
I keep mine on the coffee table and flip through it when I’m missing winter. If you’re into the culture side of riding, this one’s worth having around.
Note: If you’re spending the season in Whistler this year, drop me a message – you can borrow my copy!
14. DryGuy Force DX Snowboard Boot Dryer Best Gear Care Accessory
- SAFE & EFFECTIVE DRYING – Safe to use on nearly any type of material, the DryGuy DX's convection heating delivers gentle, gradual drying of up to 2 pairs of shoes, boots, work boots, ski boots or gloves—even hats and helmets
- QUICK DRY PROCESS – Central forced-air blower circulates air evenly throughout 4 drying ports to simultaneously dry two pairs of footwear simultaneously, or one pair of footwear and one pair of gloves, in just 1-3 hours
- NO DISRUPTIVE NOISE – Whisper-quiet rotary blower operates silently to deliver fast, efficient drying of your shoes and other garments
- CUSTOMIZABLE DRYING – Heat/No Heat switch lets you tailor the drying process to different materials and garments; plus, the 3-hour automatic shutoff timer ensures efficient and power-saving drying
- BIG OR TALL, IT DRIES THEM ALL – Easily expand the DryGuy DX's capabilities with compatible accessories designed for drying your favorite footwear or other gear, including waders, helmets, taller boots, and sporting goods
Wet boots will ruin your next day on the mountain. The DryGuy (or another snowboard boot dryer) is the easiest way to avoid that mess. It pushes warm air through your liners so everything’s actually dry by morning, not just “less damp.” I use mine after storm days or spring slush and it’s kept my boots from turning into a swamp. If only we’d had these in my early-season days when I shared a flat with 6 other guys!
It’s not exciting, but it’s one of those accessories you end up relying on all season.
15. Tough Headwear Balaclava Best Facemask
- STAY WARM AND COMFORTABLE: Made with ultra-soft fleece lining and 4-way stretch material, this balaclava skimask ensures a snug fit while keeping you warm and cozy, even in freezing temperatures.
- BREATH EASILY: Featuring breathable mesh paneling, our ski mask for men and women enhances airflow and prevents moisture buildup, keeping you fresh and comfortable during high-intensity activities like skiing or running.
- ALL WEATHER PROTECTION: This face covering has a waterproof shell and extended neck coverage to shield you from harsh wind, rain, and snow, making it ideal for outdoor adventures, commuting, or industrial work.
- STRETCHY HELMET-FRIENDLY FIT: Designed with flat lock seams and a flexible hinge, it fits seamlessly under helmets, ensuring maximum comfort for skiers, motorcyclists, and tactical users.
- NO MORE FOG: Engineered to prevent fogging on goggles or glasses, this balaclava allows you to stay focused and confident whether you're hitting the slopes or cycling through the city.
The Tough Headwear balaclava isn’t the best thing on the market, but it’s hard to complain at the price. It fits under a helmet, keeps the wind off your face and does the job on cold days without feeling bulky. I use mine when the weather turns and I don’t feel like wearing a heavier face mask. Cheap, simple and handy to have in your gear bag.
Bonus Pick: Mammut Barryvox Beacon Essential Safety Gear
- Effective digital search strip width: 70 meters
- Digital receiving range: 70 meters
- Circular receiving field: almost identical receiving range for X and Y antennas
- Display: display with background lighting, very easy to read even when wearing polarized glasses
- Acoustic search guidance: allows the rescuer to visually search the avalanche field
The Mammut Barryvox is one of those pieces of gear you hope you never need, but if you ride sidecountry or proper backcountry, it’s non-negotiable. A beacon isn’t optional out there. The Barryvox is the one I trust because it’s simple to use, the screen is clear and the buttons work even when your hands are half-frozen. It picks up signals fast and doesn’t feel fiddly when things get stressful.
And just to be clear, a beacon on its own is useless. If you’re heading out of bounds you need the full kit, which means a proper shovel and a probe. I’ve got separate guides on the best avalanche shovels and best avalanche probes if you need help choosing. This is the kind of accessory you bring because you want everyone to come home.

Snowboard Accessory Buying Guide
Snowboard accessories are the easiest way to upgrade your setup without messing around with board sizes or boot fit. Here’s what’s worth thinking about before you add something to your kit.
1. Start with the stuff you actually use
The best snowboard accessories are the ones that show up every day. Wax, a decent tool, good socks, a stomp pad, a balaclava, whatever makes riding smoother or less annoying. Flashy gadgets are fun until they sit in a drawer. The practical stuff gets used all season.
2. Match your accessories to your riding
Park riders slam a lot, so things like impact shorts or wrist guards make sense. If you spend time in deeper snow or hike sidecountry lines, focus on safety gear. For groomer laps, you’ll get more out of tuning gear, good lenses and boot dryers.
3. Keep conditions in mind
Cold days expose every weak link in your setup. A warm face layer, proper socks, working goggles or a boot dryer can completely change how comfortable you are. Spring riding is the opposite. Think wax, tools and anything that keeps your board moving.
4. Small upgrades matter more than you think
You don’t need to buy a whole new setup to feel a difference. A better lens, a solid multi tool or a tuning kit can make your season noticeably easier. Accessories fill the gaps your main gear never covers.
5. Think about off mountain time too
Training tools and smaller lifestyle items keep you connected to riding when there’s no snow around. Balance boards, books and basic maintenance tools all fit here.
6. Safety is part of the kit
If you’re stepping into the sidecountry or backcountry, accessories shift from “nice to have” to “essentials.” A beacon, shovel and probe aren’t optional out there. Same goes for body protection if you’re pushing yourself in the park.
Final Thoughts
Snowboard accessories don’t have to be complicated. Most riders just want gear that makes their days on the mountain smoother. Stuff like wax, tools, socks, a decent face layer or a wall mount ends up getting used way more than people expect.
If you’re trying to narrow things down, the Gravity Grabber is an easy win since every rider has a board to store. Add something practical like Hertel wax or a good pair of socks and you’ve already upgraded their setup.
In the end, the best snowboard accessories are the ones that actually see snow. Keep it simple, think about how you ride and pick the things that make a real difference on the hill.
