If you just want a simple strap to keep skis together without spending much, the Fat Cookie ones are the best cheap option I’ve used. They’re basic velcro loop straps with EVA padding, so they hold skis tight without chewing up your bases or scraping wax off. I’ve used them for both wide freeride skis and narrow rentals and they fit everything fine. They’re small enough to keep in a jacket pocket which is nice if you want to throw them on for the walk to the car and stash them once you’re done.
Don’t expect them to carry your skis for you like the Sklon does. These are just straps. But for keeping skis paired up so you’re not dealing with them sliding apart while you walk, they’re spot on. Cheap, light and useful enough that I’d say grab a couple sets.

The Swix wide straps are kind of the standard for ski shops and racers. They’re sturdy, they use real foam padding to separate bases and they’re wide enough to give your skis proper protection. I’ve used these in the rental shop and with my own skis and they last for years. The foam keeps the edges from biting into each other which is why racers and techs like them.
They’re not flashy and they don’t have a sling or anything fancy, but they’re reliable. If you care about protecting your bases and edges in the car or while traveling, these are worth it. They cost a bit more than the budget straps but you’ll only need to buy them once.

These aren’t ski-specific, but they’ve become one of my go-to’s for awkward gear situations. The Titan straps are heavy duty rubber with a buckle, so they don’t wear out or freeze up the way hook and loop does after a season. I’ve used them for strapping skis together, lashing them on a roof rack, even keeping skins rolled when they’ve lost their stick. They’re strong enough that you can really cinch skis tight without worrying about the strap snapping.
The downside is they’re bulkier than simple ski straps, and you don’t get the padding that protects bases. So if you care about your edges and wax job, they’re not as “nice” as a Swix strap. But for pure utility, especially in cold or wet conditions, these are bombproof.

Voile pretty much invented this type of strap and they’re still the gold standard if you want indestructible gear ties. Ski guides and backcountry riders carry these because they’ll fix almost anything… broken bindings, skins that won’t stick, or skis that need to be strapped to a pack. They come in different lengths and the polyurethane stays stretchy even when it’s freezing out.
For just keeping skis together on a resort day, they’re overkill. But if you ever head into the backcountry or just like having multi-purpose gear in your pack, they’re worth carrying. I’ve used mine more for random fixes than for skis, but that’s the whole point. They’ll outlast most of the other ski straps on this list.
