Buying gifts for snowboarders is weirdly tricky. On one hand, we’ll act stoked about anything remotely snow-related. On the other, half the stuff people give us ends up shoved in a gear bin, never to be seen again.
I’ve been on both sides… the guy getting a novelty snowboard mug (thanks Aunt Linda) and the rider unwrapping something I actually used all season. And trust me, the difference is huge.
So instead of another list of gimmicks, I pulled together gifts snowboarders genuinely want. The kind of gear, gadgets and luxuries that make a day on the mountain better. Some are cheap, some are definitely not, but all of them pass the “would I actually use this?” test.
🏆 Quick Pick
If you want a snowboard gift that every rider will actually use, grab the Gravity Grabber Wall Mount. It keeps boards and skis secure, saves space and looks a lot cleaner than piling gear in the corner. I've gifted half a dozen of these and everyone has been stoked.
Top 3 Roundup
Best Snowboarding Gifts 2026
1. Gravity Grabber Snowboard Rack Best Snowboard Gift
- Universal wall mount for skis, snowboards, and more
- Holds gear securely while saving space
- Adjustable and protective grip system
- Clean, minimalist design fits any room
- Great reviews (4.8/5)
I picked the Gravity Grabber as my top choice because it’s the one gift I know every snowboarder can use. I’ve had boards sliding into each other, knocking over in the garage, or just piled in a corner looking messy. The Gravity Grabber solves that. You mount it once, clip your board in, and it stays put.
If they’ve got more than one deck (and let’s be real, most of us do), they can even line a few up and turn it into a clean little rack. It’s the kind of gift that makes everyday snowboard life easier. Well worth considering.
2. Demon Complete Tune and Wax Kit Best Gear-Care Gift
- Complete snowboard & ski tuning kit in one case
- Includes iron, file, edge tuner, scraper, brushes & more
- Dual voltage wax iron with adjustable temp control
- Universal Demon wax (Made in USA, PFC-free)
- Great gift for riders who like to DIY their tuning
- Want to spend less? Check out the Basic Kit
Every snowboarder needs their gear tuned, but not everyone actually has the tools. That’s why a full tune kit makes such a killer gift. The Demon Complete Kit has everything — iron, wax, brushes, files — all packed in one case so they can keep their board fast all season without paying shop prices. It’s the kind of present that feels legit and gets used year after year.
If you don’t want to go all-in on the big set, the Complete Basic Kit is cheaper but still covers the key essentials. Either way, it’s a gift that actually helps them ride more and ride better.
3. Hertel HotSauce Snowboard Wax Best Budget Gift
- RIDE LONGER, WAX LESS: Get up to three full days on the slopes with only an ounce of Hertel Wax Super HotSauce All Temperature Ski and Snowboard Wax. It delivers smooth rides across snowboards and skis, making it a convenient addition to any snowboard wax kit or hot wax routine.
- ULTIMATE CONTROL FOR SAFER RIDES: Hertel All Temperature Ski and Snowboard Wax prioritize control, helping reduce rider fatigue and improve stability on the slopes. Designed for snowboards and skis, it delivers consistent performance across all snow and weather conditions more safer.
- POWER THROUGH ANY SNOW: Hertel ski wax delivers a smooth glide and control by interacting with the snow’s structure, perfect for skiers and snowboarders. Adapt to changing conditions with consistent performance across a wide temperature range (6°F to 52°F).
- ADAPTABLE WAX FOR HEALTHIER RIDES: Hertel Wax Super HotSauce offers top-tier performance without harmful additives, letting you ride with confidence, knowing your wax prioritizes sustainability and health without compromising performance.
- A LEGACY OF INNOVATION AND AUTHENTICITY: Since 1972, Hertel has led the way in ski and snowboard wax innovation. From inventing the first All Temperature Wax to earning Olympic golds, Hertel delivers trusted, authentic performance backed by decades of expertise and commitment to excellence.
Every snowboarder needs wax, period. Hertel’s HotSauce is routinely acknowledged as the best on the market. It’s the one that’s been floating around board bags for decades because it actually works in pretty much any condition. I’ve used it on icy groomers in December and slushy park laps in April, and it always kept my board moving. Cheap, simple and impossible to screw up. If they don’t need the full tune kit, this is the safe, easy snowboard gift to grab.
4. GoPro Hero13 Black Action Camera Best Big-Ticket Gift
- HB-Series Lenses With Auto Detection: HERO13 Black is compatible with the HB-Series Lenses that let you instantly set up your camera for a variety of specialty shots. The Ultra Wide Lens Mod is the ultimate POV lens for action-packed scenes and epic landscapes. The Macro Lens Mod captures close-up shots in stunning detail. Neutral Density Filters add motion blur to your footage and let you adjust the lighting in your shots with professional results. Try the Anamorphic Lens Mod for pro-level cinematic shots. HERO13 Black even detects when a lens or filter is attached and automatically adjusts its settings accordingly.
- Best-in-Class 5.3K Video: 5.3K video delivers breathtaking image quality with 91% more resolution than 4K and an incredible 665% more than 1080p. HERO13 Black captures the action with crisp detail and exacting image quality so any shot with any lens will look amazing. 5.3K video also lets you grab stunning photos up to 24.7MP from your footage using the GoPro Quik app.
- Burst Slo-Mo: HERO13 Black features our slowest slo-mo ever with the ability to record video clips with the action slowed down to 13x normal speed. You’ll also be able to record short 4x slo-mo clips using our highest 5.3K resolution video to catch epic details that you’d never be able to see with the naked eye.
- Rugged + Waterproof to 33ft (10m): HERO13 Black was built to take a beating. It’s ready to capture the fun on any adventure whether you’re tearing through mud, snow or water (down to 33ft/10m). A water-repelling lens cover even helps eliminate lens flare and other artifacts to help keep your photos and videos crystal clear.
- What's Included: HERO13 Black Camera in Polar White, Enduro Battery, Curved Adhesive Mount, Mounting Buckle + Thumb Screw, USB-C Cable
Perhaps the ultimate gift for snowboarders – if you’ve got the budget. Snowboarders love reliving our best (and worst) runs and nothing does it better than a GoPro. The HERO13 Black shoots crisp 5K video, has insane stabilization and handles cold mountain weather way better than most phones. It’s easily the best gopro for snowboarding.
I’ve strapped mine to my helmet, chest, even a ski pole and the footage always comes out smooth. Pricey, yeah — but if you want a gift that gets used all season (and beyond) this is it. I’d be freaking stoked receiving this, despite already owning several.
5. The Art of Shralpinism Best Snowboard Book
- Jones, Jeremy (Author)
- English (Publication Language)
- 288 Pages - 10/18/2022 (Publication Date) - Mountaineers Books (Publisher)
This isn’t just a coffee table book — it’s legendary snowboarder Jeremy Jones sharing a lifetime of mountain wisdom, stories and hard-earned lessons. I picked it up thinking it would be a once-through read, but I keep going back to it whenever I need a spark of inspiration before a trip.
The book is part philosophy, part survival guide and part love letter to the mountains. If you’re shopping for a snowboarder who already has all the gear, this book hits different. You can check out my other recommended snowboard books here too.
6. Demon Flexforce Impact Shorts Best For Park Riders
- A gift every park rider (or tailbone) will thank you for
- Protection where snowboarders actually need it
- Comfortable enough to wear all day under pants
- Padding flexes while you ride, stiffens when you slam
- One of those unglamorous gifts that ends up being a favorite
If you’re shopping for someone who spends time in the park (or just takes the occasional hard fall), these padded shorts are a game changer. I never thought I’d want impact shorts until I slammed my tailbone one too many times. Now I won’t ride without them. They slip under snowboard pants easily, the D3O padding moves with you, and when you hit the ground they actually save you. Not the flashiest gift, but probably the most appreciated after a couple of sketchy landings.
7. Flexmeter Snowboard Wrist Guards Best Wrist Protection
- Protect the other weak spot for snowboarders - wrists
- Designed with trauma specialists to prevent common breaks
- Three-strap system so it stays locked in when you fall
- A smart companion gift to the padded shorts above
I’ve lost count of how many friends have ended their season early with a simple hand-plant gone wrong. The nice thing with these is they don’t feel bulky; they slide under your gloves and you barely notice them until you fall. Not the flashiest gift, but easily one of the most useful if you’re buying for someone who’s new to snowboarding or rides a lot of park. Full review here.
8. Rebalance Core 32 Balance Board Best Training Tool
- MADE FOR BIG TRICKS >> The Core 32 Balance board was designed to give you maximum freedom to pull off tricks like ollies, shuvits, kickflips and more. No tracks, no grooves, no gimmicks.
- ROCK SOLID CONSTRUCTION >> Not just any deck, the Core 32 is built to take a hit and handle anything you can throw at it. This includes the high strength composite roller and board built like a tank. A lightweight, high speed, tank. MADE IN THE USA.
- BOOST YOUR SKILLS >> The Core 32 is not only a blast to use, it improves your overall balance and body control as you use it. This translates to real improvements with your riding in other sports, including heel/toe balance for edging.
- PRACTICE YEAR ROUND >> Can’t make it to the park...or the mountain...or bad weather? No problem - the Core 32 can hold you over. And then some.
- ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?
Off-mountain training doesn’t have to be boring, and this balance board proves it. The Core 32 feels a lot like riding a snowboard at home. I use mine in the living room to work on stability and leg strength when the snow’s melted. It’s fun, addictive and sneaky good for building core strength. Plus, it keeps your riding legs in shape when you’re stuck waiting for winter to come back around. Easily one of the best gifts for snowboarders this year.
9. Smith I/O Mag (or Mag XL) Best Gear Upgrade
- One of the most gift-worthy snowboard upgrades out there
- Crystal-clear ChromaPop lenses that make every run look better
- Magnetic lens system makes swapping easy with gloves on
- Comes with two lenses (sun & low light) plus a protective goggle bag
- Available in XL fit for larger faces
If you really want to get a snowboarder something good, this is it. The Smith I/O Mags are absolutely solid. They fit right, they don’t fog and the lenses make everything look crisp without any weird tint. Swapping lenses takes seconds, which sounds small until you’re doing it in on a chairlift (which I don’t recommend).
I’ve tried a lot of goggles over the years and these are the ones I keep coming back to. Most riders won’t buy them for themselves because they’re expensive, which is exactly why they make such a solid gift.
The regular I/O Mag fits most people, while the XL version works better for bigger faces or anyone who likes a wider view. Both come with two ChromaPop lenses and a soft bag.
I genuinely don’t know a rider who wouldn’t be stoked to open these.
10. Burton Men's Weekend Socks Best Everyday Gift
- Medium-density cushioning throughout
- Added elasticity and padding in the arch and ankle increases support and cushioning
- Flat-stitched toe seam eliminates chafe and bunching
- Reinforced toe and heel; Low-profile welted cuff
- Over-the-calf height; Two pairs included; Lifetime warranty
Snowboard socks might not sound exciting, but once you’ve spent a day with frozen toes or bunched-up cotton, you get it. Burton’s Weekend Socks are warm, cushioned in the right spots, and tough enough to survive a season of riding. I’ve had pairs that lasted years, and they always end up being the ones I grab first out of the drawer. Not flashy, just a perfect stocking stuffer that actually gets used.
11. Combat Cleaner Snowboard Boot Deodorizer Best for Smelly Boots
Boots get gross, fast. After a few sweaty laps and a couple of wet parking lot walks, you’ll be begging for something to fight the smell. Combat cleaner is a funny gift on the surface, but it actually works. Just spray them in your boots after riding and they target moisture and stink. I used to rely on airing my boots out by the heater (and annoying everyone in the house). These do the job way better and keep your boots lasting longer.
12. DryGuy Force DX Snowboard Boot Dryer Best Practical Gift
- SAFE & EFFECTIVE DRYING – Safe to use on nearly any type of material, the DryGuy DX's convection heating delivers gentle, gradual drying of up to 2 pairs of shoes, boots, work boots, ski boots or gloves—even hats and helmets
- QUICK DRY PROCESS – Central forced-air blower circulates air evenly throughout 4 drying ports to simultaneously dry two pairs of footwear simultaneously, or one pair of footwear and one pair of gloves, in just 1-3 hours
- NO DISRUPTIVE NOISE – Whisper-quiet rotary blower operates silently to deliver fast, efficient drying of your shoes and other garments
- CUSTOMIZABLE DRYING – Heat/No Heat switch lets you tailor the drying process to different materials and garments; plus, the 3-hour automatic shutoff timer ensures efficient and power-saving drying
- BIG OR TALL, IT DRIES THEM ALL – Easily expand the DryGuy DX's capabilities with compatible accessories designed for drying your favorite footwear or other gear, including waders, helmets, taller boots, and sporting goods
This follows on nicely from the boot banana – wet boots are almost as bad as smelly ones. I used to stuff newspaper in my boots and hope for the best. The Force DX fixes the problem. Plug it in after riding and their boots and gloves will be dry by morning. I love mine. I did a full article on the top snowboard boot dryers if you’re interested.
13. HotHands Ski and Snowboard Hand Warmers Best Stocking Stuffer
- SAFE, NATURAL LONG-LASTING HEAT - Odorless, Disposable, Single-Use Item, Do Not Apply Directly to The Skin. TSA Approved. Made in the USA using domestic and imported materials. No shaking or kneading required
- TO ACTIVATE - Remove warmer from outer package, shake to activate. Warmer heats up in 15-30 minutes. If heat decreases, expose warmer to air and shake. After use, dispose with regular garbage. Ingredients will not harm the environment.
- MULTIPURPOSE WARMERS - Single use air-activated heat packs that provide everyday warmth and are ideal for keeping your body warm when the temperature gets cold. They’re available in several styles designed for your hands, feet, and body.
- WHEN TO USE: Tailgating at Events, Outdoor Sporting Events, Hunting & Fishing, Camping & Hiking, Working in The Yard, Jogging or Taking Your Pet for A Walk. Convenient, Compact, Portable. Ultra-Thin, Adhesive Backing
Now they’ve got warm feet, let’s fix their frostbitten fingers. These clever little warmers make a huge difference when you’re stuck on a freezing chair lift. Just give them a shake and within seconds, they start pumping out comforting heat that lasts over 15 minutes.
If you’re running low on gift ideas, this is a simple, affordable and practical win. Easily one of the most underrated snowboarding gifts.
14. Mammut Barryvox Avalanche Transceiver Serious Safety Gift
- Effective digital search strip width: 70 meters
- Digital receiving range: 70 meters
- Circular receiving field: almost identical receiving range for X and Y antennas
- Display: display with background lighting, very easy to read even when wearing polarized glasses
- Acoustic search guidance: allows the rescuer to visually search the avalanche field
The Mammut Barryvox could literally save a life. If you’ve got someone who rides backcountry or even just hikes out of bounds now and then, a reliable beacon is non-negotiable. Seriously!
The Barryvox keeps things simple. Clear display, big buttons you can use with gloves on and a range that actually works in real terrain. I like it because it’s fast to pick up signals and doesn’t feel fiddly in stressful situations.
It’s not cheap and it’s definitely not the “fun” gift, but if you’re serious about your snowboarder’s safety, this is one of the smartest gifts you could give them.
15. 686 Waterproof Snowboard Hoodie Best Clothing Gift
- THE WATERPROOF HOODY - Because you deserve to wear a hoody in powder. We've taken your favourite everyday sweatshirt and enhanced it with waterproof and breathable infiDRY 10K fabric, we also added an attached face mask for your convenience
- RESIST THE COLD WET WEATHER - This resilient hoody is made from infiDRY 10k fabric + DWR, which creates a solid piece of clothing with a level of weather and water resistance that will protect you from cold winds while keeping you dry
- MADE FOR THE WINTER - A softshell 3-layer bonded two-way stretch fabric design with a side seam zippered entry that features a polyester fleece backing for warmth and grommet underarm venting to keep it breathable, this hoody is made for the winter
- NOT YOUR STANDARD HOODY - The Waterproof Hoody comes with a host of features for everything you need such as a zippered kangaroo pouch pocket, adjustable cuffs, inner thumb grips, glove links, arm cuff pass pocket, and an inner audio button hole
- FIT FOR YOU - This winter hoody is designed with a modern fit making it extremely comfortable to wear while keeping it breathable, dry, and looking good. Available in small, medium, large, X-large, and XX-large
The 686 waterproof hoodie is one of those gifts that just makes sense. It’s basically a normal hoodie that doesn’t get soaked the second you fall in the snow. I throw mine on for spring laps, park days, or even just walking around town, and it always ends up being the thing I wear the most. Way more useful than another plain cotton hoodie and it feels like a gift someone would actually be stoked to unwrap.

Snowboard Gift Buying Guide
Shopping for snowboarders can be tricky. Some gifts are obvious wins, others end up buried in a gear closet. Here are a few things to keep in mind before you buy:
1. Don’t buy snowboards, bindings or boots
Unless you have very clear instructions and measurements, buying hardware is super risky. Most riders have very specific preferences and requirements when it comes to the big three. 90% of the time you’re definitely better off gifting them accessories and peripheral gear. Trust me.
2. Practical beats flashy
Snowboarders go through gear fast. Wax, socks, stomp pads, even boot dryers – the simple stuff always gets used. A flashy gadget might look cool, but the everyday items are often the most appreciated. Don’t overthink it.
3. Match the gift to their riding
Park riders (tricks and jumps) slam a lot, so protective gear like impact shorts or wrist guards can be a lifesaver. Backcountry riders need avalanche gear. Someone who sticks to groomers? They’ll get the most out of a stomp pad, a hoodie, or a good tune kit.
4. Budget matters
You don’t have to spend big. Stocking stuffers like wax or hand warmers make solid small gifts, while something like a Gravity Grabber or a tune kit feels like a bigger, main present. For splurge territory, a GoPro or avalanche beacon fits the bill.
5. Think off the mountain, too
Not every gift has to be technical gear. A snowboard book, balance board, or some clothing can keep the stoke alive on non-riding days.
6. Safety isn’t boring
It might not be as fun to wrap, but avalanche gear and protection gifts are some of the smartest choices you can make. If they’re riding backcountry or pushing themselves in the park (and beyond), safety gifts can be a liver saver – literally.
Final Thoughts
Buying snowboard gifts doesn’t have to be complicated. The truth is, riders just want stuff they’ll actually use… whether that’s wax, socks, or a wall mount that finally gets their board out of the corner of the garage.
If you’re stuck on what to pick, the Gravity Grabber is a safe bet. Every snowboarder has at least one board to store. Add in a block of Hertel wax or a fresh pair of Burton socks and you’ve got a killer gift.
At the end of the day, the best snowboard gifts are the ones that keep the stoke going. Keep it simple, think about how they ride and you won’t go wrong.
