This is the gel version of the Quick Spit spray, and it holds up just as well (maybe even better if you apply it right). Instead of spraying it on, you use a tiny dab, rub it in, then gently rinse or wipe it off with a soft cloth. Once it’s dry, it leaves behind a clean, invisible barrier that stops fog from building up.
It lasts a bit longer than the spray in my experience, especially in humid conditions or if you’re out all day. It’s also less messy and TSA-friendly if you’re flying with your gear. That said, you do need to be careful with how much you use. Overdo it and you’ll get some haze or streaking.
If you don’t mind the extra step of applying it by hand, this is one of the most effective anti-fog options out there.

The ZEISS Defender isn’t the cheapest option, but it does a lot right. The spray is super easy to apply, works on all lens types and often lasts a full day or more. And as a bonus, it comes with a proper microfiber cloth, not some useless tissue.
I used it on a couple of storm days when everything wanted to fog up and my lenses stayed clear the whole time. Even during a sweaty hike with goggles on my helmet, this stuff held up.
If you’ve already tried a bunch of sprays and nothing’s worked, ZEISS is worth a shot. It’s not magic, but it’s probably the closest thing to it outside of buying brand-new goggles.

FogAway is a budget-friendly anti-fog spray that actually works better than you’d think. It’s safe on all kinds of lenses, including those with anti-reflective or hydrophobic coatings, and doesn’t use any silicone so it wipes on clear without streaking.

OptiPlus anti‑fog wipes surprised me. They aren’t a spray, but they offered legit fog protection that stood out during testing.
They’re pre‑moistened and individually wrapped, which makes them incredibly handy to stash in a pocket or helmet. These wipes don’t last as long as top-end sprays, but for quick fixes on-the-go, they’re solid.
Used on wet days or crowded lift lines, a wipe inside the goggles before riding was enough to keep the fog at bay for hours. Not ideal for full-day use if you’re sweating or wiping lenses often, but as a backup option or travel buddy, they’re ridiculously practical and cost-effective.

You do need to apply more frequently if you’re sweating or wipe your lens often, and there’s sometimes a slight haze at first – but it’s barely noticeable.

How to Apply Anti-Fog Spray to Ski Goggles
Start by making sure your goggle lenses are clean. Dirt or smudges can mess with the spray’s effectiveness. Once they’re spotless, apply a light, even layer of the spray across the inner surface. A microfiber cloth works great for spreading it evenly.
Be sure to do this before you gear up, and allow a few minutes for it to dry properly before hitting the snow.
My Anti-Fog Spray Testing Process
I wanted to find out which anti-fog sprays actually work, so I lined up a bunch of the most popular ones and started testing.
No fancy lab. Just real-world use. I’d pick one spray, treat my goggles, and head out for a hike — the kind that gets you sweaty fast. Ideal conditions for fogging up.
After each session, I cleaned the goggles and gave them a night to dry before trying the next one. I kept notes (yes, I am that pedantic) on how long the lenses stayed clear, how quickly they fogged up again, and whether the spray caused any irritation or weird side effects.
Once I narrowed it down to a few standouts, I used those on repeat to see if they stayed consistent. One of them seriously impressed me. I’ll keep using it even now that the testing’s done.
Should You Use Anti-Fog Sprays for Ski Goggles?
Definitely, but don’t rely on spray alone. It’s just one piece of the puzzle.
Fog usually has a deeper cause. Exclude poor ventilation from your helmet, damp clothing, or even how you store your gear. Tackling those issues is just as important.
That said, sprays can still be a great fix, especially if your goggle’s built-in anti-fog coating has started to wear out. A good spray can extend the life of your goggles and delay the need for a pricey replacement.
What If the Spray Doesn’t Work?
